Tropic Marin® Pro-Reef sea salt is formulated for the specific conditions of a reef aquarium: its optimized calcium and magnesium concentrations promote coral growth. The tailored buffering stabilizes pH and carbonate hardness, even when using calcium reactors or other calcium supplementation methods. This precise balance of all factors creates natural and sustainable living conditions in the aquarium, maintaining an alkalinity of 7-8 °dH.

To achieve a salinity of 32–35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml (approx. 37–40 g) of Tropic Marin® Pro-Reef per liter of water in a container. The prepared seawater is ready for use once the salt is completely dissolved and the solution is clear. The density of the sea salt solution should be 1.022 to 1.024 at a temperature of 25 °C.
